Summer Beach Day Essentials

Living in Sunny San Diego calls for a lot of beach days, especially in the summer. These are 6 essentials that I always pack and take with me to the beach. A good beach read is very important to me and I'm loving A Hot Glue Gun Mess by Mr.Kate. I have been following the blog and you tube channel of Mr.Kate for years and I'm a huge fan. The book is filled with funny personal stories and amazing DIY's. It's a must read and I can't think of a better book to bring along to the beach.

A huge beach towel is perfect and I scored this Lily Pulitzer Towel from Target on clearance for $10. I love when I score like this! It is great quality and the pretty pink pattern doesn't hurt either. My Steve Madden floppy hat is an oldie but goody and it's lasted many trips to the beach. A floppy beach hat adds another layer of protection against the sun. Don't leave home without one!

Sunscreen of course is always a must. Unfortunately I can't find my COOLA sunscreen spray to include in the picture but I also take my COOLA radical recovery after sun lotion. This product is amazing since it helps renew and moisturize my skin after a day at the beach.

Another must is water. I love to Hydrate myself with naturally alkalized water and this artisan 1907Water from New Zealand does that and more. It's become one of my faves and I've been drinking a bottle during my workouts in the morning and it leaves me very hydrated. Which makes it the perfect water to take to the beach.

It is sourced 680 feet deep at the foot of New Zealand’s Kaimanawa Ranges, resulting in pure, uncontaminated water. Because of the lower mineral content it has a very smooth finish. Make sure to buy some and give it a try. Your body will thank you!

A healthy snack is essential and I like to stick with bars that are full of nutrients and taste good. These USANA bars taste great and satisfy my hunger when I need a quick snack on the go or at the beach.

It is perfectly balanced with raw almonds, cashews, juicy dried cherries and cranberries. I love that its made with all natural ingredients. This whole foods snack is high in fiber, monounsaturated fats, and antioxidants. It really helps keep me satisfied between meals.

USANA’s Berry Nutty Bar also contains 160 calories, with 8 grams of fat, 4 grams of protein, 8 grams of dietary fiber, 22 grams of carbs and 9 grams of sugar. Plus, it’s low in glycemic, low in sodium, non-GMO and is free from gluten, soy, and dairy. Gotta love all this goodness!

What are some of your beach essentials? Do any of these make your list? Share your faves in the comments!
