Before and After ~ Living Room Reveal

I'm so excited to share with you all the reveal of the "Big Bohemian Eclectic Living Room Makeover". I'm so happy with the way it turned out. The one thing that will eventually change is the two chairs that are on the sides of the TV cabinet. I was hoping to find two peacock chairs to put on each side of the cabinet but I couldn't find any that were in good condition. I'm going to continue searching but in the meantime I used two chairs that I already had.
The before picture is not great but it was the only one I could find that shows the entire living room. I took this picture when we moved in four years ago. The living room pretty much stayed this way for the first three years. It was all the furniture we brought from our apartment and it was a bit intimidating when we now had a home to fill. Slowly I began to find pieces and collect them.

I found most of my furniture at thrift stores, flea markets and craigslist. Every piece was a true score and I can't believe I got so lucky. Patience was key. The accessories are a mix of thrifted, sale and clearance items.

My brother custom made the TV cabinet and he did such a great job. I really love it. I am just waiting for the hardware to come in and can't wait to add it.  I love that I can close the doors when no one is watching the TV. Funny thing is, we are actually watching less TV now.

All of the pieces look amazing together. I really love how the rug stands out and my husband even said he really liked how it looks. That's a big plus since he really isn't big on pink. I think this rug works because of it's over dyed style. There is a great mix of purple, burgundy, black, white and pink in parts of the rug. I love it and I want to get another one in turquoise of course.

I'm sure that I will eventually change things up or add some more pieces to the living room but for now I'm content. I love it and it finally looks and feels like the living room I dreamed of. This was such a fun journey. This living room took time and patience. So just remember to find pieces you love and add them in slowly. It takes time to build a room you love. Especially if you have a small budget like I did.

I want to give a big Thank You to my contributors who made this living room makeover even more amazing with their lovely items. Make sure to visit them and I'm sure you will find something special for your home.
