Big Bohemian Eclectic ~ Living Room Makeover ~ Coffee Table Styling

Today I'm talking all things Coffee Table. I found this ikea vittsjo coffee table for $10 at my local thrift store, total score!  I was on the hunt for a round table and I'm so happy I found this one. It's $50 at ikea and I honestly think that's a good deal but hey $10 is even better. I was going to spray paint it bronze and switch out the glass top with a wooden stained top but I decided to leave it as is.  Sometimes it's good to just wait and live with things for awhile. So glad I did. But I can't promise I won't change it down the road.

This tray was an amazing find at one of my favorite places to shop which is Kobey's Swap Meet here in San Diego. I like to haggle but even I knew I was getting a steal of a deal when the vendor said $3 so I paid the man as fast as I could. This is a huge tray and a heavy one too. I've had it for awhile now and I couldn't wait to put it to use.

The lovely inspirational coasters are from Cash's Closet on Etsy and were featured in my last post. There are four different coasters each with their own pictures and sayings and I love that I can switch them around. They make me happy and I know my guests will feel inspired also when they see them. Sometimes we need to be surrounded by little reminders!

It was so fun and  easy to style this tray. I just looked around my home for things I love and placed them on the tray. Everything is an oldie except for the coasters.  I had no flowers so I went in my backyard and cut off a branch from a bougainvillea bush. My memory is not what it used to be so  I keep  this journal on the tray. I mainly use it for notes and it's perfect for when ideas come up and I can just jot them down.

A candle is a must and I'm really loving this candle by Objects With Purpose. It not only smells great but it's a wearable candle that you can use as a solid perfume or melt it and use it as a massage oil and it's all natural. What's not to love!

Books, one of my serious addictions. I have loved books my whole life. I still have some of my childhood books that I have passed on to my children. I love to have them everywhere and the coffee table is no exception. I do switch them around and because I have a limited budget I request many books from my local library. It's a great way to learn new things and they are a fun way to change up your home decor.

How do you style your coffee table? Are there must have items that always stay or do you always change it up? Send me your tips and pics, i would love to see! Thanks for stopping by. Have an amazing day!
